#55 My life Changing Experience with Vipassana, a 10 Day Silent Meditation Course

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to completely unplug from everyday life?

Can you imagine taking intentional time away from everything?

No phones, no talking to people, no to do list to check off…nothing.

Does this idea sound exciting, strange or scary to you?

What If I told you there are many people around the world who do this for weeks at a time. People like Jack Dorsey, Yoval Noah Harari, Yung Pueblo and even me.

The experience I’m referring to is Vipassana Meditation. It is a 10 day course where you learn how to practice the technique and it includes over 100 hours of meditation during the program.

It’s a journey to say the least. And a practice I’ve gotten a lot of benefits from.

Since attending my second course last month here are some of the positive changes I’ve noticed:

  • I’m getting out of my comfort zone more often

  • My self care practice is the best it’s ever been

  • I’ve been meditating 2+ hours a day consistently

  • My partner and I have gotten closer and more grounded in our relationship

  • I’ve become extra intentional about how I spend my time and who I spend it with

In my latest podcast episode I go into detail about these changes and share what it’s like to attend a Vipassana meditation retreat. I answer a lot of questions that I get asked frequently by people who are curious about the experience and/or might want to attend a course themselves.
