#65 How to Find a Better Life Balance and Improve Your Well Being w/ Andrea Jakucs

Imagine this:

You wake up to the sound of birds chirping after a long, restful sleep. On a trip to the bathroom, you stop in front of the mirror and smile. You like what you see.

Happily, you go about your regular morning routine: journaling, meditation and making coffee before moving your body. Starting this way makes you feel grounded and strong.

You spend the rest of the day doing things that are productive and meaningful and with people who matter to you. There is plenty of space to be creative, take breaks and do things that fill your cup.

When the day winds down, you feel a sense of accomplishment and are satisfied with how you spent your time.

Before bed, you do your gratitude practice and fall asleep effortlessly. And the next morning you wake up feeling motivated to do it all over again.

This is my idea of what a perfect day would be like. And it’s actually an exercise that I recently taught in my masterclass series: Welcome to the Good Life: How to Live with Purpose and Create Success on Your Terms.

If I could live each day like this, I would be content. Of course, everyday is different but having an idea of what you’re striving for can help you reach your goals and get you feeling successful more often - which is wonderful for your overall well-being.

How can we achieve more days like this?

In my interview with Andrea Jakucs, a Filipino-American licensed clinical social worker for the BIPOC community, we talk about ways that people can feel more successful and increase their overall well-being. She shares what the 8 pillars of wellness are and how her personal wellness journey has inspired the work that she does.

She also talks about how our stress levels are rising because of the impact on things like social media and offers helpful tips to minimize stress and improve our mental health.

Listen to episode #65 now.

Take care my friend.
